Girl Meets Boy, Girl Marries Boy...Silly, Boy!
Pat and the OSU Evan Scholars took a road trip out to Purdue for the big football game. He walked past my window and I told the girls in the room that he was mine. I spent the weekend schmoozing him and finally got his number and email address. After spending a weekend with him in Columbus, he asked me to Golf Ball that following February. As fate would start to toy with us, I just wasn't the one who was supposed to go with him (so he said). I stayed home that weekend and he went with someone else. I'd get him back eventually.
How we met....

For the next two years, I teased Pat about how much he needed to come back to see me. Through all of the phone calls about his girl problems, I always told him that I was the right girl. Boy, was I right! Two years later, he called while I was at a wedding in Indy and said he was coming down the next weekend. I didn't believe it for a second. When he did actually show up in West Lafayette I was shocked and so excited. That night at Brother's I made him promise me on his life that we would be together and do it right this time. He signed his life away that night!!
The weekend I got him back
Pat and I were in Duck, NC with his family. We had went out to dinner and then came home to play some BS. After the game I asked Pat if he wanted to go walk and look for some crabs. He amazingly agreed and we headed off for the ocean. After realizing how dark it was out and how scary those little guys can be in the dark I decided against the crabbing. We went up to the gazebo to sit in some tall chairs and watch the lightening over the ocean. When I couldn't reach Pat told me to stand up. I made a comment as to how romantic it was (the way he told me to stand up) when he got down on one knee and commented back "is this romantic enough?". I thought he was joking and responded "yea right". I will never live that down because he then pulled out the ring. And...well...I guess it's pretty obvious...I said yes!
The night he proposed

On July 10, 2010 we got married in Cleveland, Ohio.  Our one year anniversary is right around the corner!  It was a great weekend spent with all of our closest family and friends.  It couldn't have gone any better (only minor problems were run size table runners and not being able to get my dress pressed, but we figured it all out in the end!).  It is by far one of my favorite days ever and I'm so happy I married the many of my dreams!
